Holloway Frederick

Fred is by the performance-bred Welsh Section D stallion Farleaze Lord Prenwyn, out of a Caspian mare.

He is well handled, good with farrier, loads and travel well. He has had his teeth checked and rasped with no issues found. Fully vaccinated against flu and tetanus.

Fred was lightly backed as a 3.5yo, lunging and long reining very well and being ridden at walk and trot on  the lunge, Due to our relocation, he has been out in the field since February. Fred would suit a one-to-one environment as he has a more sensitive nature than any of our others. He has never put a foot wrong, or showed any malice whatsoever. He works happily with someone once they have gained his trust. We truly believe that he has huge potential with the right person, as he has all the qualities necessary to progress in so many spheres. If circumstances were different, we would be keeping him to bring on ourselves.

Fred has mostly lived outside in a herd, but spent last winter on a livery yard, stabled overnight to keep our gelding company. He was rugged whilst in work to keep him clean, but has otherwise been fine without one.

Fred's sire Farleaze Lord Prenwyn competes successfully with children and adults in all disciplines, he has inherited incredible scope and technique from his sire, the legendary jumping pony/sire Machno Carwyn. Farleaze Lord Prenwyn's dam Follywood Miss Teak placed at the National Dressage Champs and finished 15th in the British Eventing Grassroots Champs, proving her own talent and versatility.

Fred's Caspian dam Bytham Phillamena is a career broodmare. Several of her older progeny (all full Caspian) are in ridden family homes.
